We're delighted to welcome you to the brand new version of eu-expats, a resource compiled by Expatriates specifically for EU citizens moving to or living in another country within the European Union. The purpose of this site is to bring together a wide range of valuable information from a variety of authoritative sources into one easy-to-navigate site.
The website has been fully updated, and work is ongoing to incorporate new and relevant information.
The Finance section contains information on banking, pensions, savings and taxes.
The Relocation section covers subjects such as passports, pets, practicalities, relocation, removals, residency rights and vehicles.
The Welfare section includes education, employment, health, retirement and social security.
For your convenience our Shopping section contains only carefully selected suppliers, including many of your favourite high street stores, who are able to deliver their goods to European destinations, and our Travel section contains options that enable you to book online even if you are living in Europe (eg you can book return flights from Europe to the UK).
The Library section contains a directory of contact details, documents and links, as well as current affairs.

How to Navigate This Website
The information on the primary menu bar relates to the EU as a whole. An EU flag is shown at the right-hand side of the main menu bar indicating that you are currently in the EU section.
When you select a specific country (either from the top right-hand menu or the right-hand column), you will be directed to a new section of the website which will show the relevant country flag at the right-hand side of the main menu bar.
Relocation, Finance, Welfare and Property
In the primary menu these items provide an overview of information for within the EU. Within the sections: France, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain, these items are country-specific.
Travel, Shopping and Library
These menu items are common to all sections, and so by selecting one of these you will return to the primary (EU) section.
